Microsoft has announced a new preview feature in Microsoft Graph called the User Configuration API. This update allows applications to store and manage user or folder-level configuration data directly through Microsoft Graph, something that was previously handled using Exchange Web Services (EWS).
With EWS being phased out, this API helps organizations move to a more modern and supported approach. It enables apps to create, read, update, and delete configuration settings linked to mail folders in Exchange Online, using secure and permission-based access.
This is an important step for developers and IT teams modernizing their Exchange integrations and preparing for the future of Microsoft 365.
