Dynamic Charts for PowerApps turns Canvas PowerApps into a full analytics tool. It builds interactive charts and graphs and updates data in real time when you change filters. It works natively in PowerApps and removes the need for Power BI. Use it to speed up analysis, make reports clear, and make decisions based on live data inside the app.
Features
- Pie Charts – show proportions and distribution. Display how each category contributes to the total. Use them to track market share, resource allocation, or performance distribution. Identify dominant categories or weak areas instantly.
- Bar Charts – compare values across categories and periods. Track performance over time or compare groups side by side. Use them for sales reports, productivity tracking, and KPI monitoring. Spot trends and outliers immediately.
- Graphs – track trends and changes over time. Show growth patterns, seasonal changes, and performance shifts. Predict outcomes, detect issues early, and base decisions on trends, not static numbers.
- Dynamic Data Update – refresh data in real time. Update charts instantly when you change filters or input new data. Work only with current information and make faster decisions.
- Search, Filtration, and Sorting – find and analyze data quickly. Search specific data points, filter out irrelevant details, and sort to highlight key metrics. Focus on the information that matters for the task.
- Custom Color Coding – mark important values. Assign colors to KPIs or thresholds. Use red for risks, green for achieved targets, or other rules. Read charts faster and react immediately.
System Requirements
- Available for Works only with Microsoft PowerApps (Canvas Apps). Does not support Model-Driven Apps or other Power Platform tools.
- Packaged as Installs as a custom solution through the standard Power Platform import process.
- Permissions required Use an admin account in the PowerApps environment to install and configure the solution. Grant standard users read or edit permissions to work with charts.
- PowerApps Plan Use a PowerApps Per User or Per App Plan to enable custom components and premium connectors. PowerApps for Office 365 does not support advanced features.
- Data Sources Connect to standard and premium data sources, including SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and Excel Online. Grant users the correct permissions for each data source to load data in real time.
