SharePoint agents

New capabilities for SharePoint agents are rolling out in August. A new SharePoint web part allows site editors to embed agents directly on pages. When users select the agent, it opens in a side pane, providing contextual assistance without leaving the page. Editors can search for agents by name or select from recent ones, customize the link title and size, and publish with just a few clicks. In Teams group chats, users can now add multiple SharePoint agents into a single conversation. Each agent contributes its own knowledge and can support collaborative tasks like reviewing specs, planning content, or answering HR-related questions. Support for Teams channels is also coming. Users can interact with SharePoint agents by pasting an agent link into a post and using @mentions.
