Entra security defaults

Entra security defaults are updated to improve user protection. Starting December 2, 2024, new tenants with security defaults will be required to register for multifactor authentication (MFA) on first login, removing the previous 14-day grace period. This change, which will be applied to existing tenants from January 2025, aims to reduce security risks by enhancing MFA implementation. Microsoft encourages using security defaults for added baseline protection, particularly for those without Conditional Access policies.
